Lead intelligence

Your list, finished.

Decimio builds the list or takes the one you have, fills in the names, titles and verified work emails, and puts it in the order you would have called it in. You are charged for what arrives, never for what was tried.

  • Counting is always free
  • Charged on delivery, not on attempt
  • Never charged twice for the same value
  • Ranked by your fields, not by job title
Q3 outbound - manufacturing and logistics 5 rows, 4 work emails delivered
An illustration of enriched rows. Company and headcount are supplied by the customer; first name, last name, job title, work email and the quality label are filled in by Decimio. One row has no work email, so that cell is empty rather than carrying a guessed address, and it carries no quality label because there is no value to label.

Where a list comes from

Bring a list, or build one.

Most tools assume you already have the rows. Decimio will take them, and it will also go and find them, and the two meet in the same table.

01

Upload what you have

Drop in a CSV and match your columns once. Re-upload the same file later and the rows update instead of doubling: an existing record is found by its own identity, not by its position in the file.

  • Company
  • Domain
  • LinkedIn
  • Full name
  • Anything else you have

02

Describe the account

Company name, industry, size band or an exact headcount range, the accounts to include and the ones to leave out. Count it. Counting is free, as often as you like, and the count says which of your filters it was actually able to use.

Your customers, your competitors and the accounts you already work can be excluded by their domains before anything is counted.

03

Then find the people there

Select the companies worth having and ask for the buyers at them, capped at as many contacts per company as you choose, so one well staffed account cannot eat the batch. It works in reverse too: a list of people collapses into the companies behind them.

Before anything is spent

See the size, then see the bill.

Counting a search costs nothing and never will. Adding records is a separate, deliberate step, and the screen that starts it tells you the most it can cost, what your balance will be afterwards, and how many of the rows you are about to buy you already own.

Every figure is worked out on our side from the price list of the day. None of it arrives from your browser, so none of it can be a number somebody edited on the way in.

And when a filter could not be carried, the count says so rather than handing you a bigger number wearing your filters.

Free, however often you do it

  • Counting a search, and counting it again after you change your mind
  • Reopening a saved search and counting it fresh
  • Deriving a search from rows you already have, and refining it
  • Reading or exporting anything you have already bought

Applied when counting

  • Company name contains "logistics"

Not applied when counting

  • Industry is one of Freight, Warehousing
  • Company size is one of 51-200, 201-500

Left out

  • Already in this workspace
  • On the do-not-contact list

Industry, Company size could not be applied when counting, so this number is wider than your filters. We still apply them to each record before adding it, wherever the record carries them.

0 credits charged for this count. Nothing has been charged, and nothing will be for counting: it is free, as often as you like.

Credits at most

1,831 at worst

31 of them are already in your workspace and are not charged for again, so 169 of the 200 can be charged for. 14 are on the do-not-contact list and will not be added.

Ranked, not dumped

Rank by any field, not by job title.

A good lead is not a job title for most businesses. A dentist wants practices of a certain size nearby. An estate agent wants a landlord with a phone number on file. So ranking here is conditions over fields, each with a weight, and a weight can be negative: what disqualifies an account is as much a part of your ideal customer as what recommends it.

Four ready made profiles are offered the first time you open the screen. Three of them use no job titles at all.

Profile

Local businesses in my area

No job titles. Four conditions and a minimum score.

  • HQ city is your city +40
  • Company size is one of 11-50, 51-200 +30
  • Company phone is set +15
  • Company size is 1-10 -40
  • Minimum score 40

The order that comes back

Each row carries why it is there, in its own values.

  • Ravenscroft Joinery 85

HQ city Leeds. Company size 11-50. Company phone 0113 496 0182.

  • Thwaite Dental Care 85

HQ city Leeds. Company size 51-200. Company phone 0113 224 7710.

  • Marlowe Lettings 70

HQ city Leeds. Company size 11-50.

  • Ashgate Removals 45

    Company size 11-50. Company phone 0113 302 5589.

  • Ninefold Studio 15

Below the minimum: a company of one to ten takes 40 points off.

  • Calder Signworks not judged

Nothing this profile ranks on is on this row, so it is not judged rather than scored zero.

Fictional companies. The scores and the reasons beside them are what the ranking engine returns for exactly these rows and this profile.

Selling to a role as well?

Then add titles, in tiers, with the words that should never match. A title you put in the first tier outranks one you put in the second, whatever a fuzzy match thinks of the spelling, and seniority moves a record within its tier rather than across tiers.

Titles are one optional dimension. A profile made only of field rules works perfectly well, and that is the point.

Profile: security buyers, three tiers
  • Chief Information Security Officer Tier 1 · 266
  • Head of IT Risk Tier 2 · 195
  • Compliance Manager Tier 2 · 184
  • IT Director Tier 3 · 120
  • Marketing Coordinator No tier · 0

Your spreadsheet, respected

Your own columns are first class.

A column we have no field for is not dropped. It is kept under the header your file gave it, it comes back out in the export under that same header, and you can rank on it exactly as you rank on ours. Your pipeline stage, your account owner, your own scoring band: those are judgements you have already made, and making you re-enter them would be the worst thing an import could do.

Spelling is forgiven where it should be. A rule written against "Pipeline stage" still finds a file that wrote "Pipeline Stage", because a header is your text and those are one column to the person who typed them. Punctuation is left alone, because in a header you chose it means something.

A column of yours named the same as one of ours stays a separate column. They are different questions and the export keeps them apart.

Ranked on a column that came out of the customer's own file
Three rows ranked by a profile whose rules name the customer's own columns. Pipeline stage and Owner are the customer's headers; company size is ours.
Score Company Pipeline stage Owner Size
90 Ravenscroft Joinery Won Priya 11-50
30 Thwaite Dental Care Open - 51-200
0 Ninefold Studio Lost Sam 11-50
Pipeline stage Won adds 50. Owner is set adds 10. Company size 11-50 or 51-200 adds 30. Pipeline stage Lost takes 60 off, which is why the third row is zero rather than forty.

Honest results

Every value says how good it is, and when it was true.

There are six words, they mean the same thing on every screen, and they are worked out from what we actually know each time you look rather than stamped on the day you bought the row. A value gets older; its label changes with it.

Verified
A check confirmed this address is accepted by the mailbox it belongs to. The date of that check is shown beside the value.
High confidence
No check was possible, but the evidence behind this value is strong and nothing we hold contradicts it.
Catch-all/Accept-all
The receiving domain accepts every address, so no check can prove this particular mailbox exists. Treat it as a lead rather than a certainty.
Unverified
Nothing has confirmed this value, or the evidence behind it is too weak to claim more than that it was reported.
Stale
This value is past the freshness window for its kind of data. It is still shown, with its date, but ask for a refresh before you rely on it.
Historical
This kind of field promises to be current, and this one is past its window. It is a record of what was true then, not what is true now.

A weak match is never promoted

A loose name match stays a loose name match. Nothing is talked up into a high confidence decision maker to make a fill rate look better, and a source claiming a value is good cannot outvote its own low confidence in it.

A gap is stated, not filled

When a detail cannot be found, the row says so and the batch says "Nothing found". No invented addresses. No guessed patterns presented as verified. Nothing adjacent served because the thing you asked for was unavailable.

Data ages on a published clock

Each kind of field has its own freshness window: sixty days for a job title, ninety for a verified work email, a hundred and eighty for an identity, and a single day for anything sold as news. Past it we say stale rather than current.

What you actually pay for

You are charged for what arrives.

Running a batch holds credits rather than spending them. At the end, only what was delivered settles and the rest of the hold goes straight back. Look for a person and find nobody, and it costs nothing. Find the person but fail to verify an email for them, and you pay for the half that worked.

  • Cancel a batch part way through and only the delivered rows settle.
  • A batch retried after a failure on our side cannot charge you twice.
  • A row your workspace already owns is served from what you paid before, free, and no source is called for it.
  • Reading or exporting a value you have already bought is free for as long as you hold the account.

What this batch cost

Requested
120 rows
Held while it ran
960 credits
Delivered
96 complete contacts
Charged
768 credits
Released back to you
192 credits

Twenty four rows found nobody relevant. They cost you nothing, and the ledger keeps every line rather than editing the charge away.

And never twice for the same component

Buy a person prospect at 2 credits today, and a Complete Contact over the same person later, and the second one charges 6, not 8: you already paid for the part they share. Ask a third time and it charges nothing.

When we get it wrong

A value that was wrong comes back as credit.

Not a goodwill gesture with a support ticket attached. A process, on a screen, with a decision and a reason you can read again later. Report an address that hard bounces, we re-check it, and if it is confirmed wrong the credits for that field land on your balance as part of the decision.

30 days

The window

From the day the value was delivered to your workspace. The screen lists only the values still inside it.

The field

What comes back

The standalone price of the field that was wrong, not the price of the package that carried it.

25 credits

The floor

Or a tenth of your last thirty days of spend, whichever is greater, so a small account is not promised nothing.

50 reports

The ceiling

Per thirty days. Go past it and we say so with the numbers rather than refusing quietly.

Three answers, and we say which you got

Confirmed wrong, and it is credited back. The value stands, and we say so rather than paying to avoid the conversation. Or nothing can re-check it, in which case we uphold your evidence.

Your report changes what we sell next

A confirmed failure counts against wherever the value came from. Enough of them and that route is stepped over for a period, so your report improves the next customer's data as well as your balance.

The original charge is never edited

A credit back is a new line beside the old one. The ledger cannot be rewritten after the fact, which is the only version of this worth trusting.

Read the whole policy, including what does not qualify

After the list exists

A list is somewhere to work, not a file you receive.

Lists live in your workspace. Select rows, and every one of these is one button away. Opening any of them costs nothing; only adding records does.

Add a column

Each column on offer is a question about the selected rows, priced per row before you start. The answer lands as an ordinary column you can sort, search, export, and ask the next question from.

Find people there

The buyers at the companies you have selected, capped per company.

Show their companies

The reverse: a people list collapsed into the employers behind it.

Find companies like these

A search built from what your best rows actually have in common. If they have nothing in common, it says so instead of guessing.

Rank by

Apply a saved profile and the whole list reorders, each row carrying its reasons.

Export

A clean CSV, your own headers included, and every one of them distinct.

Saved, so you do it once

A search you like is saved with its filters and reopened later with a fresh count. A ranking profile is saved and applied to any list. Both belong to your workspace and go nowhere else.

A batch you can watch

Work runs in the background and reports progress, then shows what it cost and what it delivered, row by row. A batch that cannot make progress says so at the start rather than sitting still with your credits held.

What you never have to do

The work that does not happen to you.

You never choose a data source

No fallback chain to tune, no per source balance to top up, no comparing one vendor's coverage against another's. That work happens behind the product, so it does not happen to you.

Do-not-contact is honoured everywhere

Suppress an address, a whole domain or a profile, and that person is not looked up, not charged for and not delivered again, from any direction: not through a search, not through their employer, not on a re-import.

You do not re-buy what you own

Records already in your workspace, already paid for, or on your do-not-contact list can be excluded before a search is even counted, and the quote tells you how many were taken out.
